The day long “Water Conservation, Drinking Water and Organic Agriculture for Sustainable Ecosystem Services” seminar was organized as a part of the regional conference. It was held at the Conference room of IBRAD, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. There were sixty seven (67) representatives from seventeen (17) organizations including GOs, NGOs, universities, research organizations and communities from India and Bangladesh. The seminar included a survey among participants, inaugural and paper presentation and discussions sessions. It was planned and guided by an organizing committee formed with members from EPRC, IBRAD and GARNET-SA.

The training entitled “Community Training on Resilient Building” was held by Environment and Population Research Centre (EPRC) in Gaibandha. It was two days long residential training program focusing on the issues of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in the context of the project. The participants came from the hotspots of disaster and resilience of four study upazilas under the districts of Sirajganj, Jamalpur, Gaibandha and Kurigram. The honorable resource persons from universities, government departments (agriculture, livestock, water development board, district relief and rehabilitation) and NGOs delivered their lectures covering the issues on trans-boundary river basin and the Brahmaputra river basin with important structural and non-structural measures to manage the hazards-disaster risks, CC and CCA, briefs on DRR and CCA related selected national policies

A half daylong discussion meeting on Occupational Safety was organized under the research activities of Occupational Safety and Health of EPRC. The meeting was planned, guided and facilitated by an advisory committee. Total 17 participants from agriculture field, bakery, and different sections of Garment like finishing, sewing, apparel, and cutting were participated in the discussion meeting. The meeting comprised the following sessions (i) Opening Session, (ii) Technical session, and (iii) Recommendation. The technical session included three different issues such as (a) identification of the existing situation of OS, (b) discussion about the ideal situation as per existing low and legislation, and (c) need assessment about training
