Suddha is a seasoned innovation facilitation, intellectual property (IP) and strategy consulting professional with more than a decade of experience in corporate R&D, new product development and intellectual property management in engineering, automation and Information technology industries. In his last corporate role, he was a member of corporate business excellence group at Cyient Ltd based in its head office in Hyderabad, India & was leading innovation projects, R&D partnerships & IP management for the USD 400 Million global engineering R&D solutions organization across all its business units. He has significant experience with world's leading Fortune 100 technology companies either as an employee or as an external consultant. Suddha has worked with several reputed organizations like Honeywell Inc. & Schneider Electric Ltd, Wipro Ltd, Convergys India Services and Times of India Group in diverse roles. He holds a bachelor of electrical engineering degree from Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Odisha and a post graduate qualification in IP management from the IIT Kharagpur Law School. Suddha is a technology enthusiast and a certified software patent circumvention expert from the TRIZ Association of Asia. He also holds dual Six Sigma certifications for new product development & process excellence projects in IT services. Suddha holds an executive MBA from the prestigious Haas School of Business @ University of California, Berkeley, . He has been an active corporate member of Chamber of Indian Industry (CII) - Southern Region chapter in Hyderabad and a regular speaker at various industry conferences held by apex industry bodies like CII, AIMA, ICC and ASSOCHAM. Suddha is passionate about technology start-ups, early stage companies & social ventures. He advises several SMEs, start-ups & social innovation initiatives like Honeybee Network and currently mentors several global initiatives like IIT Foundation, World Innovation Team, World IP Forum and India Innovation Forum on a regular basis. He has recently co-founded an innovation partnership and strategy advisory firm with presence in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, India. At present, he is championing the cause of open innovation in India and global university spin-outs under the mentorship of Prof. Henry Chesbrough, Father of Open Innovation & one of the top 50 management thinkers in the world today. In the past Suddha had the privilege of being involved on technology commercialization/global innovation projects in emerging markets under the supervision of Nobel Prize laureates Prof Eric Cornel in Physics and Prof Joseph Stiglitz in Economics. Suddha has led more than 50+ new product introductions, USD 50 Million of cost savings through internal R&D projects and 100+ patent/TRIZ/creativity trainings for engineers/managers in automation and software domains. He is one of the few design thinking experts in India who have been trained by world’s top design gurus in Silicon Valley, . Suddha has conducted several IP/TRIZ/Six Thinking Hats/ Design Thinking sessions in reputed organizations including Google, Kaaryah, Smartron, Hitachi, Texas Instruments, Triton Valves and Mercedes Benz India.
